Matchstick Eiffel Tower Guinness Record
Wheelchair-bound Lebanese craftsman Tofic Daher set a new Guinness World Records with his matchstick Eiffel Tower measured 6 metres and 53 centimeters and used around six million matchsticks on Nov. 11, 2009.
It took Tofic Daher 2,316 hours of work and 11,000 dollars to build the Eifel Tower with six million matchsticks, 6,240 tiny lamps and 23 flasher lamps.
The old record holder was a model of Big Ben, which stood at 3.98 metres and was built with around 1.25 million matches.
