Motola, a female elephant who stepped on a land mine 10 years ago, uses its trunk to lean against the bars at its enclosure at the Elephant Hospital in Lampang province, northern Thailand. Thai experts are making an artificial leg for the 48-year-old pachyderm which will be attached later on Saturday.
