Google celebrated Persian new year with an special logo in its front page . But Google didn’t share the celebration with Iranians who use Google for their searches .
This Google Doodle shows a Haftsin table which is one of the icons of Nowruz .
Google showed this doodle for users in Afghanistan , Kyrgyzstan , United Arab Emirate s, Azerbaijan , Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan . Around 300 million people celebrates Nowruz while 80 million of them reside in Iran . But Iranian couldn’t see this logo and it’s been turned off for them . However Bing showed an special wallpaper for Iranians in its homepage .
It noteworthy to know , Iranians can not access to doodles page of Google . They receive the following error when they enter the page .
“403. That’s an error.
Your client does not have permission to get URL /doodles/ from this server.
You are accessing this page from a forbidden country. That’s all we know.”
